I believe that photography and other art forms exist because they express meaningful feelings and emotions better than we can express them with our own words.  If something strikes me as interesting or for whatever reason causes me to pause and look more closely, I will photograph it.  Many times, the final images that result from that initial discovery, represent a deeper connection with a thought or feeling.  I find that many people share the same reactions. 

In the end, a photograph is the respresentation of an image that was once in someone's mind.  My desire is to communicate that image in a way the viewer is free to interpet and apply its meaning as best suits them.  This can even change from day to day.
